Morning Inspiration: Writing Prompt No. 10

Good morning! Rise and shine! May I borrow a minute of your time for some quick inspiration?

Tis the season for office potlucks! Fa-la-la-la-la…

Well, maybe not this season…

But even B.C. (before COVID), some of us have had concerns about some coworkers’ sanitary practices at home. Here’s to hoping this tradition becomes a thing of the past!

Today’s Prompt

Potluck

My Inspired Story

There’s a sour smell lingering over the mac and cheese. The cranberry sauce has specks of mold. Tim’s fork bends when he stabs into the turkey, and we all know Susan has cats, so her stuffing remains untouched. But most concerning is that although the flyer said, “A Thanksgiving Leftover Potluck,” it appears that everyone has taken it literally.

And it’s the second week of December.

Time for Yours

Now it’s your turn! Use your inspiration from either the above word or photo prompt (or both) and write whatever comes to mind! Fiction, poetry, prose, random ramblings—you pick! Drop it in the comments below or post on your own blog and link it back here. I hope you’re inspired!

Let me know I'm not talking to myself.
