Good morning! Rise and shine! May I borrow a minute of your time for some quick inspiration?
Flying through the sky in a sleigh drawn by nine reindeer. Squeezing down the chimney, hoping the fireplace isn’t still lit. Delivering presents to good little boys and girls around the world.
Does your inner child still believe in the big guy?
Today’s Prompt

Santa Claus
My Inspired Story
Another batch of returns-to-sender ready when the mail carrier arrives crunching through the snow of my front lawn. He sees me in the window and waves the contents of today’s delivery: more letters—from the thickness, at least 100—tied together in a pretty red bow.
Damn these children and their lying parents! Who do they think is paying for all these toys? I’ve got a toy shop in shambles and eleven mouths to feed. Growing boys, not elves. And the deer are wild. Just try to saddle them. They’ll buck.
When I get my hands on that reporter who turned my story about donating toys to the orphanage for Christmas into some kind of miracle on 34th street, I swear I’ll…
The mail slot on my door clinks as the mailman pushes the letters through. For once, I’d like to open an envelope and find a check. Could use some upgraded machinery. Arthritis is getting worse. Old man can’t carve toys by hand like he used.
And it’s Sanford, not Santa.
